Intimate distractions
by pallstar on Jun.11, 2009, under Everyday Events, That that make you go ARGH!
I decided to be a little more connected with Aleigha today. Oh, what’s great is, our downstairs neighbors are SLAMMING their door constantly. This happens quite a bit and I am starting to get annoyed at it. It’s not the slamming that is annoying. It is the fact that everything we have on our walls, including the metal art, shakes.
Today’s tally, 8 bangs-a-shaking, and the night is still young.
Life Experience of the Allergic kind.
by pallstar on Jun.04, 2009, under Cantankerous Conundrums, Everyday Events
Not much to talk about. There are life changes, and there are life Experiences.
Recently, I have experienced a very interesting situation. Allergies. I never had allergies before. But, these last few weeks, I have been getting very sick with a nasty sinus infection. It turns out, I am allergic to something that is blooming this season. I do not know what it is yet, but I can say, I have that plastic covered feeling after taking some Claritin. It’s not as “Clearing” as they want you to believe. I feel a thick layer of ick all over my head. And, it leaves the migraines in place. So, even though I am not coughing and sneezing constantly, I still wish fall was here. At least I know I will be really clear then.
I do miss Arizona and its clear-from-alergon (at least for me) Springs.
I think I need to make a life changing decision with Jennifer.
GameStop, and the Stop of Climactic events
by pallstar on Apr.05, 2009, under Everyday Events, Observations of the unobservants
I went to GameStop late last night for their DSi midnight event. Severely anti-climatic. The only thing that was of interest was the fact that there was about 15 people there, and 9 of them were staff. (Slight exaggeration) There were a few customers there. In the time that I was there, some customers just couldn’t wait till 12:01. So, they started to leave. Everytime one left, the staff would count it off all together. I thought it was funny. Since they were staying exeedingly late, they were doing a lot of prep work. Setting up sales, rearranging boxes, and even labeling boxes to put on the shelves. I just was looking though the sales bins for more DS games that I might enjoy. Eh….. There were some, but nothing too gripping for now. I have a bunch of games I still need to finish up. I think I will work on them for now. Games like Legend of Zelda: The Phantom Hourglass, Hotel Dusk, New SMB…. In the end, we created a line and didn’t stick to it. The first person to get her DSi was having issue opening the package. Nintendo used some really strong tape dots. She had someone else try to open it and he ripped her box open. I let a family go ahead of me. I was not in any major rush, other than to get my DSi. After them, I went ahead and got it. Damn Cedar Rapids government. They increased the taxes just last week. So, I had to pay an extra $1.86… I thought we had a cut budget so we wouldn’t have to increase taxes. Government…..
In either case, I have my DSi, and it is fun. I will start posting some DSi snapped pics here every now and then. A new Catagory, woohoo!.
Games

Do all games have endings? If it doesn’t have an ending, wouldn’t that make it just a toy? If a game is considered a toy, but it does have an ending, wouldn’t it just be a game?
The probing stinger in every angry person, evident in a child’s words.

Why do children constantly attempt to see how far they can go before they say something that can hurt you? (continue reading…)
Hello world!

Yes, the quintessential Hello World. Every programmer knows the curse, and I hope this time, if I leave it in here, I will not be hit by it.
